I was in possibly the worst antique store in Pennsylvania when I found these. I wanted them so bad I had to go BACK because they couldn't decide what they wanted to sell them for. I bought them for my little boy. He liked the pictures, but he's a very literal little dude and the stories....freaked him out. Worst of all HE DOESN'T TAKE CARE OF OLD THINGS and I had to take them away.

This wonderful little set is in very good condition. Presumed 1st edition - but the price sticker has been removed. Without previous owner name or inscriptions.

In doing my research, I was shocked at what good condition these are in.

Dust jackets show light age-toning and One was Johnny has a little light soiling. Two small knicks out of the paper on the spine of Pierre and Alligators All Around.

Slipcase is very good- with rubbing to corners and fore-edges, top fore-edge has a chip (see photos). No splits or tears, still bright and sturdy. All have been very gently handled over the last 59 years.
